I was chatting and laughing with my friend Chibuzo just before he received the call from lagos on that day (30th Sept., 2012). It all switched.
I was stoned into shock when he broke the news! "....but I was gonna speak with her later that evening to find out how her trip to Badagry went, couldn't she have waited?"
Never have I seen a grown man cry. He was shaking too. Words failed me. My expression was norm, unbelievable. If I could make a wish. please Lord, may it untrue.
I never got a fair chance to speak with her. All I had to see are smile-filled pictures of her and tales of her been a blessing to everyone around her and that's why she's called Omelora. Sad I never met her, really.
Finally,I am forced to accept it. 'that death will come to all',even to people we least expect, our dearest, our closest pals and us someday, eventually. Perhaps at a time we least expect, what a painful reminder.
May her beautiful soul rest in peace. Amen.

Dr.Uju,I did not know our phone discussion a week to your demise would be the last. I can not believe you are no more on this earth, but each day makes it real, that it is so. You were such a wonderful person. A gift to humanity. The little time you shared with us was worth the while. Your memory linger for all the good you did. GOOD NITE, ADIEU! -MrS NKechi Onwukwe.
